Great Gesture From Bapu's Family

The family of late Mr. Sattiraju Lakshmi Narayana, popularly known as Bapu, has donated his entire collection of 547 books to the Indian Institute of Cartoonists library, Bengaluru. IIC library has already with it more than 1000 books brought from US, UK, Europe and India.

Bapu's books have been preserved in 2 cupboards kept in the gallery.

Mr Bapugaru is considered as a legendary cartoonist of the country. He has created a niche for himself with new style of his own and his works have been inspiring many generations of cartoonists. IIC had recognised Mr. Bapu's talent and felicitated him with 'Lifetime Achievement Award' at the inaugural function of the Institute in 2001.
