Born in 1947 in Upper Austria, Klaus Pitter , studied graphic arts at the University of Applied -; Arts in Vienna. He lives in Vienna as a freelance cartoonist and Illustrator. He has illustrated a series of books on environmental education and many schoolbooks.He has also illustrated several ,, cartoon and comic books. His drawings are regularly published in the Austrian magazine "konsument".
He has been organising comic-workshops for kids in Vienna. He has conducted personal exhibitions in Germany,Switzerland,Belgium and Austria. His works have been selected and exhibited in Belgrade,Buenos Aires, Haifa, Rome, Kairo,Seoul,Skopje,Teheran,Tokyo and Zagreb.For the last 20 years he has been winning many Awards in the International cartoon contests and cartoon festivals. He was also honoured as Jury member at several International cartoon contests
